Feasibility of a Viability Report

It has been presented in previous Communiqués that one requirement of obtaining financing from Capital Corp Merchant Banking is to procure a Viability Report of the particular project as this report would confirm its economical viability.

There are, however, times when the promoter(s) of a project is unfamiliar with the Viability Report term and compares it to that of a Feasibility Study.   It should be noted that the emphasis should not be placed on the time being used but rather the foundation of the report.

In other words, no matter what one may call it, a Feasibility Study or Viability Report, it must have the same formulation, including project background, overview of both product and forecasted implementation with market research, financial and accounting overview, as well as regulatory concerns.

So, in summary, the conclusions of this report will assess the project’s economic viability; specifically, if it can independently support itself in terms of meeting and or exceeding financial obligations based on certain risks to the level consistent with expectations.
