Keeping the Funder Informed
There is one important common courtesy that can sometimes be forgotten when a project promoter is in need of funding from such a firm as Capital Corp Merchant Banking. That consideration is in regards to making sure a promoter stays in continuous contact with the funder.
A polite acknowledgement of an important email from Capital Corp Merchant Banking, or a brief note informing us you will be unreachable for the next week, is a courtesy that can be forgotten at times. As a measure of respect between invested parties, timely updates that are conducive to positive communications interaction are a matter of course.
For example, promoters should never hesitate to bring to the attention of their funder an important change to their project, whether positive or negative. An experienced funder understands that a type of “heads up” can help to keep a small issue just a small issue or confront a major obstacle, where possible.
In summary, this note is to inform the reader that he/she should not email or call their funder every hour on the hour telling them how their day is going; instead, please be so kind as to show the same professional manners you would expect someone someone to show you as you both work towards a common goal.
Respectfully,
Capital Corp Merchant Banking
