Maturation of the Business Development Department - Part 2
In further addition to the recent post on the evolution of the Business Development Department of Capital Corp Merchant Banking, we felt it prudent to provide further details on one other important aspect of this subject.
Further to carrying out the procedures of “Submitting a Project,” a client and broker alike will receive a response from our Business Development Department with the signature title of this department. In other words, the initial responses/contact will not include a specific person’s name from the department until such a time that further project particulars are discussed.
The reasoning for such is that all decisions made by this department are made on a collective basis; thus, the client or broker need not concern himself/herself with who is responding. After all, each and every decision to proceed or decline a project is discussed as a group and not based solely on one recommendation.
In addition, we understand that clients or brokers sometimes want to supplement their email or documentation with a first contact/follow-up a call. Although a necessity later in the review process, for obvious reasons, the merits of the project and/or a group would have to be detailed in writing upon initial contact.
On one final note, we urge prospective clients and promoters to rest assured that whenever a discussion or direct contact is needed, that it will immediately be requested and/or initiated by Capital Corp Merchant Banking.
